Trinity Christian School is a ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church. As a ministry, it is staffed by caring and qualified Christian teachers. The prime focus of the school is to share the saving message of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ with the children and families in our care.

Trinity Christian School is a school of excellence where students are challenged to learn and grow their academic talents to the best of their God-given ability. It is a school where students are encouraged to try new things and seek new challenges. A strong focus on the basic building blocks of education allows students to soar.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts.  Impress them on your children.  Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.  Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates.  Deuteronomy 6:7-9

Trinity began serving the Keene community with a Preschool which began in 1955.  Kindergarten was added in 1995, and a state approved elementary school began in 1998.  Trinity Christian School offers a quality Christian education.  Teachers are certified by the State of New Hampshire, and are committed to sharing the good news of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ throughout the curriculum and school day.  TCS strives to build a positive home and school relationship.  The school offers a Parent Teachers Friends Association (PTFA), scheduled conferences, school newsletter, and school wide Family Nights.

Mission Statement

The mission of Trinity Christian School is to provide students with a quality, Christ-centered education and to share the good news of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Philosophy of Education

Founded on Biblical Truths, the educational program enables students to achieve their full capabilities.  Recognizing that each child has unique, God-given talents, the curriculum is designed to nurture each child's spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional and social development.

Devotions and Bible Study are conducted by the teachers on a daily basis with the children gathering for school wide chapel once a week.

The Preschool Program is designed to help young children make the transition from a home environment to that of a larger group situation.  Preschool offers a variety of learning and play opportunities.  A typical day may include free play, music, movement, stories, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and an introduction to the alphabet and numbers.

Kindergarten provides readiness activities in reading, writing, and mathematics.  The reading curriculum is a sequential phonics based program enriched with children's literature and hands on activities.  The math program is a structured curriculum using manipulatives such as counters, coins, unifix cubes and workbook activities.  Thematic units of study, a daily directed discovery time, free play, quiet/rest time, art, physical education and music are provided.

The Grades 1 - 8 Elementary curriculum includes reading, writing, mathematics, penmanship, science, social studies, health, music, art, and physical education.  Direct reading instruction is provided with a sequential phonics based program enriched with children's literature.  Manipulatives, hands on activities, and workbooks are integral components of mathematics instruction in the elementary grades.  Science units follow national recommendations for an activity based, hands on approach to scientific inquiry and instruction.  Classrooms are equipped with computers.  Conversational Spanish is offered at an age appropriate level.
